Fabrication Technologies
Challenge: To explore different Materials, Methods and Hands-On Production Techniques through the creation of a final, functioning Product Design.
My design 'FANkenstein' is a Frankenstein (as it's name gives away). I started the project from a dismantled fan-motor that I found on a 2nd hand market. The materials I used to build a new fan around this central motor piece entail various types of wood, silicone, resin, acrylic glass, magnets, bronze wires, and others. The techniques I worked and experimented with include woodworking machines and nail-guns, moulding & casting, as well as soldering techniques and wire-work.

Developed during my studies at IE University, Course by Lucas Muñoz Muñoz.
Project received Class Honorary-Awards, issued by IE School of Architecture and Design.
